Emily IN MUSIC EDUCATION
While at Penn State, Emily studied under Dr. Keith Thompson, Dr. Joanne Rutkowski, Dr. Richard Bundy, Dr. Linda Thornton, Dr. Robert Gardner and Dr. Ann Clements. Her courses of study included instrumental music education research, observation of the Suzuki music program and teaching instrumental music education. She also attended several national conferences on both music education and instrumental music education. Currently, she is an active member of the American College of Musicians (Piano Guild Exam), Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC CM exam) and Chinese Music Teachers Associations of Northern California (CMTANC) . She has been a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), National Association for Music Education (MENC), Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), and California Music Education Association (CMEA). She is also a piano, Chinese Lutes liuqin and ruan instructor, and has been string ensemble conductor, music theory instructor and violin teacher at Aimusic School (San Jose, California, USA).

LESSONS
Lessons are weekly and are thirty, forty-five, or sixty minutes long. At the initial complimentary interview, the best lesson length for each student will be determined based on his or her music background and experience.
Lesson will be given in one of four California studios in Palo Alto, Cupertino, Saratoga or San José. If you prefer to have the lesson at your residence, an extra travel fee based on the distance will be added. Online lessons are also available. Please contact the studio for tuition fee detail.
Studio offers annual student recital and music examination preparation for registered students, if students interested to participate.
